Metal-Free Fillings Are a Safe and Aesthetic Choice (Video)

At American Family Dental, we use metal-free fillings because we think they are the safest and most aesthetically pleasing way to repair cavities. Made of tooth-colored composite material, they blend in seamlessly with your smile.

While studies on mercury in metal fillings haven’t definitively concluded that mercury is harmful, we think it’s best not to take chances with your long-term health. Keeping your whole body healthy, not just your teeth, is important to us! Metal-free fillings also require less alteration of your tooth structure than amalgam (metal) fillings.
