Here at American Family Dental one of my passions as well as some other things, I love doing crowns and bridges. And crowns are very necessary when you have teeth that have had old silver fillings or fillings that have recurrent problems, recurrent decay, and the filling is about to come out or a tooth has had a large cavity that maybe has had a root canal or needs a root canal, that tooth needs a crown. Some people grind their teeth excessively to where they only have about half of their tooth left. It's time for crowns and restorations to fix those type of issues, and I like doing that.
Bridges are another form of a crown, we're kind of bridging the gap if you're missing a tooth or teeth. And implants are an option, also a fixed bridge is an option because we can kind of tie the teeth together with the missing teeth, and that bridges the gap. And it looks very natural and it replaces the teeth. If the other adjacent teeth are having problems and you're kind of killing two birds with one stone by replacing the missing teeth and restoring the adjacent teeth in the bridge with crowns.

If you have a broken or cracked tooth, you can save it with a sturdy dental crown, a restoration that completely covers your tooth. However, if your tooth is not able to be saved, it must be extracted. You can also replace a missing tooth with:
